50th Anniversary Celebration

Camp Tadmor 50 years

July 9, 2022

10 am to 4 pm

For the past fifty years, Camp Tadmor has been a place of incredible life change and transformation accompanied by loads of fun and silliness. One past summer staff member has said, "Tadmor is the only place where you can be dressed up as a clown and have a serious conversation about the gospel at the same time." - Carly Rouch Cross (Mowgli)

To celebrate the amazing history of Camp Tadmor we will gather together on July 9th for a day of reminiscing and recount the ways we have encountered God at camp. We will open camp up for an epic day of celebration, sharing memories, and looking forward to the future of Camp Tadmor. Everyone who has any connection with Tadmor is welcome to come, even if you've only been to camp once as a camper or for Outdoor School. We want to see you there!

Bring your family and your friends, we want to see you there! Everything will be available for you to have the best camp experience.

Available Activities

  • Swimming/paddleboarding/canoeing (bring your swimsuit, towel, and a change of clothes!)
  • Giant Swing
  • Paintball
  • Hiking
  • Exploring a cabin to ignite old memories
  • High Ropes Course
  • Cedar Creek (bring cash or a card to purchase drinks and camp swag!)

Along with the activities, you will have the chance to look back at camp through the decades in the Lodge. Displays will be set up with pictures and old camp apparel, and you will have the chance to write down your name and your most memorable camp experiences in your decade. As you visit your favorite spots on camp, you will be able to hear stories of how God has worked in people's lives through their time at Tadmor.

50th Anniversary Meadow Ridge Project

Meadow Ridge

Camp Tadmor is a place where God dwells richly and has moved powerfully through the past half century. We have all experienced the transformative power of God at camp, and we look forward to the next fifty years with expectant hope that God will continue to use Tadmor to advance His Kingdom and glory. As we plan for the future, there are many ways we can dream of to utilize this land and these facilities to provide more space for people to meet God.

Originally built as a summer camp, Tadmor has since evolved and grown into hosting more and more groups during the colder months. However, Tadmor's buildings don't provide the indoor space needed for people to meet together. The hope for the next big project is to enhance Meadow Ridge so that can be used year-round. This would open up a whole new area and allow three different groups to enjoy camp at one time.

Just by closing in the Meadow Ridge Pavilion, we could continue to grow the ministry of Camp Tadmor exponentially.

What will it take? With new doors to close in the open walls of Meadow Ridge Pavilion, Tadmor would still aim for the open feel in the warmer months. The team is currently looking at pull down doors or fold away doors to achieve this. To make the space fully functional for groups however, Tadmor will have to add a heating system to the Pavilion gathering space and finish out the kitchen which at this time is only a warming kitchen. Completing the kitchen will require a vent system and a few commercial grade appliances. The estimated cost for the project is $250,000.

When Meadow Ridge Pavilion was built about eight years ago, we came together as a Tadmor family and raised the funds to make our dream a reality. It is a beautiful space that has served countless campers and churches over the years. We can do more. Together, we can expand Camp Tadmor's ministry to provide more space for people to encounter God at camp.

If you would like to partner with us and continue championing the work God is doing at Camp Tadmor, there are a few different ways you can do this: Pray. Prayer is essential as we move forward. Pray with us that more people will encounter God through this. Pray that God provides good contractors for these build outs and in a timely manner.
